What is a Decal?
By Definition: A design prepared on special paper/Vinyl to then be transferred on to another surface.

In other words, a decal is like a sticker, the decal itself is sandwiched between a paper backing and an adhesive transfer tape (ours is clear or semi opaque for balloons).  By using a decal you get just the cutout of the text, once applied this gives a printed look. There is no clear backing or excess sticker material, it’s just the text/image and that’s it.
